We have created a wish list on Amazon that is regularly updated to include our most needed items both big and small. If you like the idea of sending physical items directly to our door step, then our wish list is a perfect way for you to support Blue Lake's ministry. Click below to see our list.

“Blue Lake holds a special place in my heart. I heard my call to ordained ministry while sitting lakeside at summer camp in 1992. Listen... God has always been known to speak in this place.  Be ready for a revelation. Chances are, you’ll never be the same again.”

Reverend Dr. Darren McClellan

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Financial gifts to Blue Lake Camp are used to support the ministry in the areas that are most needed. These typically include updates, new programs, repairs, and unplanned maintenance projects.

Those gifts given to specific projects are considered "designated" and will be used as specified. Typically, gifts given In Memory of individuals are applied directly to Blue Lake's endowment fund.

The fees charged when guests and campers attend Blue Lake events typically cover our annual operating expenses. However, there are many areas of our budget that fall outside of normal operations.

As a non-profit we seek to keep or prices as reasonable as possible in order to reach as many people as possible. So, we continue to seek support from our community to tackle larger projects, cover unexpected/unbudgeted expenses, and to ensure that we can continue to improve Blue Lake in a number of ways.

Blue Lake continues to be a recipient of some funding from the Alabama West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church. For that we are grateful and blessed.

However, our funding decreased significantly in the past few years and projections indicate this trend will continue. For that reason, donations from individuals and groups are more important than ever for a sustainable long-term ministry at Blue Lake.
